Time for Round one — the Swimsuit Round

— The four contestants of the Kingfisher Miss Tibet Pageant 2010 are ready for the first round of the pageant — the Swimsuit round, which will be held at Funky Town in Dharamshala at 3 pm.

Three judges will check the participant's figure, confidence, poise and presentation in this round.

The four contestants underwent a vigorous one-week training in yoga with Viktoria Lenz, dance with Tsering Palmo of Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, and catwalk and grooming sessions with Heidi Swank and Kelsang Tsomo (Lakar). Tibetan journalist Tashi Wangchuk lectured on Tibetan journalism, Tenzin Norbu lectured on Tibetan democracy, Tsering Choedup spoke on Tibetan activism, Jampa Monlam spoke about the human rights situation in Tibet, and Tsering Yangkey on the environment situation in Tibet.

The contestants visited the Tibetan government-in-exile, Tsuglakhang temple, Nechung Monastery, and the Tibetan Children's Village School, where they listened to the teachings of the Dalai Lama.
