— She is striking, confident and ambitious. She is the new Miss Tibet 2007. She is Tenzin Dolma.

"I am no more an individual self. The Miss Tibet title carries huge responsibility. People put lots of hope on Miss Tibet," says an elated Dolma.

"I am representing my country in general and Tibetan women in particular. I have a huge responsibility now. I have to live up to the hope that people place on me, and prove my worth for the title."

Dolma stands at 172 cms. Her other vital statistics are: 79-59-89 cms. She likes music, fashion and travelling.

She was born in Mainpat Tibetan Settlement in Chattisgarh, central India, in 1986, but she has Amdo ancestry. Her family moved to Mcleod Ganj when she was five. She lived there until she completed her schooling from TCV schools, attending upper Dharamshala until class 10 and finishing +2 from TCV Gopalpur in 2004. She studied in the Arts stream.

She moved to Delhi to pursue her higher studies. Currently she is doing BA through correspondence.

She worked as a consultant in a call centre before participating in the pageant. She also works as a part-time model with a few modelling agencies in Delhi.

She aspires to be a super-model. She wants to tell the world that Tibetan women are also capable in fashion and designing.

She has a younger brother, who is studying at upper TCV School in Dharamshala.

She will be leaving for the Philippines in a few days to represent Tibet in the Miss Earth pageant.
