The enthusiasm with which more than ten women applied is a clear sign of hope to have even more contestants in the future.

A one-week training programme will include yoga, dance, and catwalk. The contestants will take part in orientation on Tibetan culture, current affairs, environmental issues, human rights and music. There will also be excursions to introduce the contestants to the Tibetan Government-in-Exile, NGOs, schools, etc.

The Miss Tibet Pageant has been very successful over the years, because of the help from many local officials, media, and the public, as well as fans around the world. We hope to produce yet another memorable edition of the Miss Tibet Pageant. The team members, who have been all volunteering, deserve special mention.

The competition rounds will be from 12 to 14 October. Further information and press materials are in the Pageant Stories section of this website.
