MissTibet.com

Miss Tibet Tenzin Paldon is among 60 contestants from around the world who have set their eyes on the crown of the Miss Global Pageant, taking place in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.

Rehearsals for the competition have been going on for a week. The contestants have been engaged in runway training, workshops, photo shoots, and everything else to prepare for the finale event.

Writing from Phnom Penh, Paldon says:

I have Miss Rwanda as my roommate. All the girls are very good, I am liking them. I have made friends with many of the contestants, who are from different parts of the world.

We are keeping busy doing rehearsals, visiting different places and trying different food. We attended a water festival as VIP guests, and had Korean BBQ. We had a press conference a few days ago.

Today we had a photo shoot at Sokha Beach, and I enjoyed it so much.

The team members are very helpful. The makeup team is great too! I met Miss Laurie, the chief of the coordinators. She is just great.

Overall am having a good time.

The winner will be decided after they go through five competition rounds, which include: Preliminary Interviews, International Wear, Swimwear, Evening Wear, and Top Five Finale Questionnaires.

The winner receives over $20,000 in gifts and scholarships. The finale is on the night of the 17th.

Now in its fifth year, the Miss Global Pageant encourages women leadership, and ambassadors for beauty and cultural diversity.
