Pema Choedon takes part in Miss Global 2015 Beauty Pageant

The reigning Miss Tibet Pema Choedon is taking part in the Miss Global 2015 Beauty Pageant hosted in the Philippines. She is among contestants from about 50 different countries around the world vying for the title.

After landing in Manila, Pema writes:

I was well received from the airport to the hotel by the organisers. They were in fact worried that I wouldn’t turn up. I was given a rose and an envelope wishing us luck ahead for the pageant. I was then escorted to a beautiful room and interviewed about my experience in my journey to the Phillipines.

“There are 48 girls from different countries around the globe. I feel so honoured to have made to Miss Global to represent Tibet. I am doing my best here and sharing information about Tibet.

This is the opportunity I was looking for after being crowned Miss Tibet in June. For me, being in the Philippines is like a dream come true.

I would like to thank each of my friends, my sponsors from Germany, Chokhor Tours and Travels, Run Away Fashion shop, Designer Yash Vardhan, and Fashion Director Ben. And last but not the least, Mr Lobsang Wangyal who has put in every effort to make my trip happen.

Now in its third year, Miss Global is an American production based in California, US. The Pageant sets new standards for a wider age range (between 18 and 35 years old) and a more diverse selection of qualified female participants.

The finale of the Miss Global Pageant will be held on Sunday evening.
