Miss Tibet Pageant 2010
The Miss Tibet 2010 finale on 6 June at the
Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts
began at 7:00 p.m. Entrance ticket was Rs 150.00. The four contestants competed in four rounds — Introduction, Evening gown, Traditional costume and Interview.
At the grand finale,
Tenzin Norzom,
a 23-year-old Shastri degree holder from Varanasi,
was crowned the new Kingfisher Miss Tibet 2010.

first round of the pageant — the Swimsuit round, which will be held at Funky Town
in Dharamshala at 3 pm.

Four contestants sign petition for release of Tenzin Delek Rinpoche
The four Miss Tibet contestants Rinchen Choden, Tenzin Namchoe, Tenzin Norzom and Yanchen Metok
signed a petition calling for independent legal assistance and a new trial for
Tenzin Delek Rinpoche (Chinese name: A'an Zhaxi), a revered religious
leader and visionary advocate for Tibetans.

The ninth edition of the Miss Tibet Pageant is officially titled
Kingfisher Miss Tibet Pageant 2010,
and sponsored by
Kingfisher.
The pageant will be produced by
Lobsang Wangyal Productions
in association with
Can & Able
group, an entertainment company based in Chandigarh.
Like last year, there will be four young Tibetan women vying for the crown.
This year's contestants are Rinchen Choden, Tenzin Namchoe, Tenzin Norzom and Yangchen Metok.
