Tsering Chungtak lands in Taiwan
MCLEOD GANJ, India, 23 February 2008 — Miss Tibet 2006 Tsering Chungtak has landed in Taiwan at the invitation of the Miss Taiwan organisation. Chungtak was received by Miss Taiwan and other members of Miss Taiwan organisation at the Taipei airport. "We stayed in Taipei for one day. I was very busy attending press conferences. Lots of TV channels interviewed me. I met lots of people — politicians and so on," Chungtak said through email. Politicians she met included the Prof. Dr. Jhy-wey Shieh, the minister of the Government Information Office. She also met the convenor of the Democratic Progressive Party legislative caucus. Chungtak will lead the Taiwan leg of the Tibetan Olympics torch relay on Sunday, 24 February. More about Chungtak's tour will be up on the site in a few days after her return.
