Wangchuk Palmo is 25 years old. She was born in Bir, near Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, India, but moved to US in 2000, and then to Canada in 2001. She currently lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She likes modelling, travelling, working out, gardening, and golf.

She is a dermatologist and does promotion modelling. Since moving to Canada five years ago she has graduated college and become a licensed cosmetologist. She plans to open her own clinic next year and become financially self-sufficient.

Her future plans include travelling to different parts of the world, including Tibet, as a Canadian citizen, and raising specific problems troubling our great country, including a documentary film about the Tibetan situation.

As the winner of the Miss Tibet Beauty Pageant I would bring to the world an insight into our culture and traditions, particularly from a young Tibetan woman's perspective. Tibetan women should be encouraged and supported, and receive the same opportunities as women in other parts of the world.
