Tenzin Yangkyi crowned Miss Tibet 2011

A seventeen-year-old lass from Geneva, Tenzin Yangkyi, was crowned Miss Tibet 2011 in a modest late-night finale show in McLeod Ganj. She received a cash prize of rupees 100,000.00 (2,200 USD approx) with the title. She said: “Miss Tibet can be the role model to spread mass awareness of Tibet’s cause.”

Tenth anniversary with six beautiful and brave contestants

The 10th anniversary of the Miss Tibet Pageant celebrates six beautiful and brave contestants hailing from India, Australia, Switzerland and the US. Chemi Lhazom, Dolma Tsering and Tenzin Sangmo are from India, Ngodup Dolma from Australia, Tenzin Yangkyi from Switzerland and Tenzin Khecheo from the United States.
